I am currently a college student, studying a course in Computer Games Development. From my very childhood, I have always been interested in the mechanism behind it and eager to dabble myself in, as well.
Though my hobbies incline more towards the technical side, I like sports and music. I’m a die-hard foodie, but alas! I’m no cook. I’m also a novel addict, been introduced to it at quite an early by my family (the whole lot of them). My favorite genres include (but not limited to) action, thriller, horror, psychological, mystery, etc.
Besides all this, I also love taking down situations and deconstructing them very critically. It gives me a sort of thrill, when I do analysis of circumstances, trying to find the truth behind one’s motives and eliminating the outcomes till nothing but only one possibility remains. I particularly believe this quote,
Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.
– Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Likewise, I am very much interested in social psychology and I tend to philosophize a bit too.
I chose the name of my blog as “The Gray Journal” because of two reasons. “Journal” because it is a sort of diary, but in a much more formal sense. It records my daily life and other activities. Since it does not focus on a particular category, I think “Journal” covers it quite efficiently. Now, the meaning behind “Gray” is a much more complicated one, something people won’t get, just by seeing it. There’s a quote (often modified everywhere) that I particularly like,
Life is not black and white, but different shades of gray.
Like the quote, I believe I am also a mortal who doesn’t fall in either of the extremities of good and evil, which thus decided my other half of the name.
I know, you would be asking yourself, “Why should I care about his life?”. Well, you don’t need to, but I am sure you will be able to relate to me somehow. My thoughts, my quirks, my virtues and vices, you can always see a part of yourself there.
And even if you don’t, you can always sit back and have some pleasant reading.
